About the Project
Inspiration
White Lines grew out of the 12:12 sci fi micro drama universe. The core spark was the image of Wimbi’s final moment: a single life ending against an infinite backdrop. That contrast between intimate grief and cosmic scale shaped the direction of the whole piece.
What I Learned
I learned how to merge many creative tools into one controlled production pipeline. I also learned how minimal imagery can carry powerful emotional weight when paired with precise timing, music, and sound design. The process reinforced that strong storytelling survives even inside tight duration limits.
How I Built It
The project was built through a multi tool creative workflow:
- Grok Video for early motion concept tests
- Grok for idea shaping and iteration
- CapCut for final editing and assembly
- OpenAI ChatGPT for script, structure, and narrative refinement
- Suno for music foundations
- FL Studio for detailed production, mixing, and arrangement
- Midjourney, Seedream, Ideagram, Higgsfield for cinematic visual generation
- Photoshop for frame polish, compositing, colour, and texture passes
- ElevenLabs for voice and SFX creation
Each asset was integrated to stay consistent with the mood, lore, and colour language of the 12:12 universe.
Challenges
The biggest challenge was holding a coherent aesthetic while pulling assets from many different systems. Maintaining emotional clarity inside a one minute format demanded precise control of pacing, structure, and sound. Balancing abstraction with narrative coherence required multiple iterations throughout the process.
