Inspiration

Water doesn’t cry is not just about heartbreak. I wanted to write about the deep resentment I felt after a breakup – where I was the only one crying but my ex moved on fast. AI helped me portray this in the most cinematic way. I wanted the character to sing and cry while drowning in the water.

What it does

Water Doesn't Cry" is a dark-pop heartbreak anthem about diving into the deep waters of love with someone who won’t even wade in. Zara captures the quiet resentment and flood of emotions with haunting vocals, cinematic production, and raw emotion that floods your heart. Her sound blends haunting pop, introspective lyricism, and the spiritual pulse of her Indian roots. Each song feels like a confession wrapped in light — a space where vulnerability meets strength.

How we built it -

We used the following tools: Google V03, Midjourney, Infinitetalk, finished in Premiere pro

Challenges we ran into

To get the perfect lip sync was quite since the character is under water. The motion under the water and the lipsync had to be different and cinematic.

Accomplishments that we're proud of - We are amazed how cinematic the video looks. My imagination came to life for very little cost

What we learned

The most important is to come up with an angle and a concept and how you want to tell the story. AI is a very powerful collaborator where you can bring your imaginations to life.

What's next for Water Doesn't Cry

I would like to be signed by a Record label or collaborate with a partner so my music and creativity can reach a bigger audience. I am also creating a rom-com, children's story series, songs, and videos. I want to teach audience and artists how to tell stories in collaboration with AI.
