Our Halloween themed game was inspired by a multiple interest to explore the Unity engine and experiment with the Kinect V2. Mostly from scratch (lighting , we constructed an online multi-player first person shooter game. The Kinect V2 Unity plugin was used to integrate skeletal tracking data from the Kinect to control the player's avatar. All the scripting for the environment and players (lighting, collision detection, enemy AI, raytracing, networking) was done in C# for our Unity environment. Our game server was hosted on Windows Azure and written in C# and uses the ulink plugin to sync data between server and clients. We are especially proud about being able to learn the basics of Unity game development in such a short period of time to create a rich environment for gameplay, and still accomplish Kinect V2 integration and online multi-player features.
