Sci-Fi future related retro games.
What it does
It plays a storyline on someone on a space ship called Voyager-X fighting aliens and a survival mode for testing how good you are at.
How we built it
I built the game by making solid shooting physics and wall collision, then I drafted and wrote a story. I added scenes in the game that explained the story and added a survival mode for the non story part.
Challenges we ran into
I ran into many challenges like scenes not switching, variables not working, and sprites not showing up. The most common way I got past these challenges were deleting the script and rescripting it in another style.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Im proud of having 2 different modes to pick from and sound effects/music playing on the right time.
What we learned
I learned that no matter what goes wrong, you can still fix it. I felt like giving up many times throughout coding but I pulled myself together and fixed it with a result that I am pleased with.
What's next for Voyager-X
I might continue updating the game because of how much progress it has reached and make the game more appealing.
