  U8 - Surreal Subway ride with Berlin's U8 line

Inspiration

I am inspired by everything around me. Even the U8, a Berlin Subway line, which is mostly dysfunctional, can be an inspiration.

What it does

The video illustrates a strange ride on the U8, making fun of the dysfunction and sharing my frustration with many Berliners.

How we built it

I rendered the videos with Google's Veo 3 and created the music in Suno. The final video is composited in Adobe AfterEffects with transitions, type and sound effects.

Challenges we ran into

The frame rate: Some AI tools label the output as 24 fps but still embed slight VFR signals. AE can misinterpret this and produce “upside-down” or color-shift artifacts.

Accomplishments that I am proud of

The idea to layer sound effects like shopping malls and other sounds makes the video a lot richer.

What I learned

I learned to download high quality , important into AE, and render as final in Apple Pro res 422.

What's next for U8

I will next create wearable tech videos and also a chaotic bike ride through Berlin.
