Advertisements have been the core of Web2 since its inception, so they can be the core of Web3 too. TriAd is a decentralized advertisement exchange that will enable advertisers and publishers to buy and sell advertising space in a fully transparent environment powered by blockchain. From operations to payments everything will be handled on blockchain making our platform a completely secure and trustable advertisement exchange.

What it does

The current digital advertisement industry is facing problems not limited to

  1. Not serving advertisements to web3 platforms.
  2. Limited payment options i.e not accepting crypto and control over payments
  3. Lacks economic transparency such as fees, earnings and spending
  4. No opacity in analytics, both advertisers and publishers face a veil over crucial metrics and analytics
  5. No value proposition for end-users and audience To Solve the above issues, TriAd proposes how we can implement blockchain in this industry The digital advertising market is worth US$740.3 bn in 2024, by integrating blockchain technology, TriAd positions itself at the forefront of this expansion, ready to capture a substantial market share by offering solutions that traditional platforms cannot.

TriAd empowers advertisers, publishers and audiences to effectively participate in the new age of advertising without compromising on transparency.

How we built it

The implementation of TriAd MVP is meant to demonstrate the core functionalities of an advertisement exchange, not limited to

  1. Advertisement Creation, payment of budget in crypto(TRX), monitoring ads.
  2. Publisher creation, integration, monitoring and earnings withdrawal.
  3. Platform functions like setting rate, removing ads, withdraw amount and monitoring platform.

All the details of advertisement, publisher details, fees, and operations will be available on-chain.

Using Tronweb for CRUD and payments operations through the front end for a seamless experience for the users.

TronLink is integrated into the dapp for signing transactions and making and receiving payments. The current UI is built using react.js which fulfils the purposes as of now, which will be improved.

Challenges we ran into

Interacting with smart contract from the application. Handling data by fetching it from blockchain and rendering.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

TriAd was just a concept when the hackathon started, with no idea of how this thing would be implemented. Starting the project in the late days of the hackathon when only 8 days were remaining was a challenging task to be taken when you are building for the first on Tron Network. And here we are with an MVP that fulfils the core functionalities of a decentralized advertisement exchange. With confidence that we can achieve what we want TriAd to be and build anything on Tron Network.

What we learned

How to turn an idea into reality, within a limited amount of time. How efficient the Tron Network is for building projects on it.
