TransparentAssessments

Inspiration

Testing corporations like The College Board and ACT have virtual monopolies on the administration and content of standardized tests in educational settings. We wanted to make a more fair and equitable way of creating tests.

What it does

Provides a platform and incentives for sharing, verifying, and downloading educational content.

How we built it

We built it on top of the Ethereum block chain using a set of Smart Contracts defining custom tokens.

Challenges we ran into

Front-end back-end communication. Test deployment of Smart Contract.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

WE MADE OUR OWN TOKENS. None of us had any experience prior to this competition.

How to build and deploy SmartContracts on Etherum.

Extending to include more types of content. Increased security. Valuation of uploaded content

I worked on the backend development and software architecture as well as assigning roles.

Nikhil Iyer
I worked on the back-end by debugging the code. I also played my role as a problem solver and think tank by providing possible solutions in pseudo code and theoreticizing multiple parts of the project.

Jatin Verma
I worked on webpages both front and server side. It was first time using Node and Web3.js. It was a great experience, as I learned a lot about each framework and how to utilize official documents. I also desgined the logo.
