What it does

TideBridge is a financial infrastructure layer that uses local liquidity pools and gig platform data to provide instant, low-cost cross-border payments and data-driven income-smoothing advances for global workers.

How we built it

We developed a programmable double-entry ledger that integrates with gig platform payroll APIs and coordinates with regulated sponsor banks to route liquidity and underwrite risk.

Challenges we ran into

Managing real-time FX volatility while maintaining a stable internal USD base and normalizing fragmented payroll data from diverse gig platforms proved to be our most significant technical hurdles.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We successfully demonstrated a "zero-settlement" remittance model that reduces cross-border volume by 85% while proving that earnings history is a superior predictor of creditworthiness than traditional scores.

What we learned

We discovered that the high cost of remittances is primarily an efficiency problem solvable through logic, and that speed of access to funds is the most critical factor for worker financial stability.

What's next for TideBridge

We plan to expand into Southeast Asian and Latin American corridors while launching a multi-platform aggregation feature to build a unified financial identity for workers across all their gig apps.
