About the project

Inspiration

We wanted to build a top-down game focused on the theme of exploration.

What we learned

We learned the fundamentals of the Unity Engine and developing in the C# language.

How we built the project

We split up the project into two components, the top-down movement/exploration phase and the turn-based combat system. We worked on these two components in two groups, working simultaneously. For the world-building of the top-down part, Clip Studio Paint was used alongside Unity Engine and C#, which was utilized all throughout. Finally, we spent the remaining portion of the time combining these two elements and adding transitions between them and incorporating the overall storyline.

Challenges

We had to learn Unity and C# completely from scratch for this project which took time to understand. Additionally, time management and lack of sleep contributed to our project challenges.
