Inspiration

We love stocks, and we wanted to explore better ways of predicting the market

What it does

A user can select a stock that they would like to know what the Wallstreetbets subreddit sentiment is for it.

How we built it

We combined Python and React/JavaScript to run the backend and user interface.

Challenges we ran into

The Reddit API is very poor in what it can do, so we had to use some workarounds to get what we wanted.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are excited that our results were actually on track with what our goals were

What we learned

We learned how to scale data and use a model to identify sentence sentiment.

What's next for Stocky

We would like to connect the front end and back end better and add new features.
