Inspiration

Nearly 75% of formerly incarcerated individuals are still unemployed a year after release. That might be why there's a high poverty rate and stress amongst individuals affected by the justice system. This is an initiative to help reduce the stress and confusion on how to begin the job search.

What it does

JobReaddi helps the justice impacted individuals a seamless networking & job search process with the option to create personalised profiles. As these profiles are created, the individuals also have the option to explore resources available to enhance employment opportunities and relevant skills.

How we built it

Conducted research on justice involved individuals and their difficulties in finding jobs. Used product strategies to propose relevant features as an addition in the CEO website. Used Figma to make mockups and a hi-fidelity prototype to show the flow of the project.

Forming teams within a short span of time and still implementing & executing ideas and designs. Conducting the research, building a quality and effective prototype with limited amount of design kit

*The importance of quality research. *A lot of products exist solving the same problem but they are not as effective and useful

What's next for JobReaddi

To develop a widespread & effective job search tool to ensure employment to formerly incarcerated people. To provide a second chance and equal opportunities for formerly incarcerated individuals for them to lead the rest of their lives happily.
