Inspiration

From society events to clubbing nights, socialising is a memorable part of a student’s university life. For social events, tickets are usually sold out in a jiffy and all that is left for people who are late is---- SOLD OUT in big bold letters; Some who have already bought the tickets have last-minute plan changes and cannot go anymore. We live in a world where people neither want to dump money nor want to miss out on the fun.

What it does

We have decided to come up with a uniform student-only platform for the reselling of tickets. The way we tackled authentication issues were by using UCL email-ids as a form of authentication so that any fraud committed will have a face put to it and can be prosecuted accordingly. This platform also keeps in mind the convenience of the buyer and the seller enabling all students to be connected to each other.

How we built it

We used technologies like HTML, CSS and JS to build the front-end. Also used proto.io to give design to our app.

Challenges we ran into

Developing the back-end within the time constraints.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Introducing something entirely new for the student community. Tackling an existing problem faced by many.

What we learned

Team-work, troubleshooting, time management, project planning and critical thinking

What's next for (Team 1) TakeMyTicket
