Inspiration

I wanted to create a sneaker bot that would allow users to have an advantage in the competitive online shopping market.

What it does

It creates multiple instances of users all tied to the main user that run parallel browser instances to try and get the desired products.

How I built it

I used Python and the library PyQt5 to create Surge.

Challenges I ran into

Some common challenges were figuring out how to keep the GUI from locking up when something changes and running tasks in parallel.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

It is a great looking desktop application that I created when I was in high school.

What I learned

A lot about working with user data in Python, browser automation, and desktop application development in Python.

What's next for Surge

Nothing, it is open source and has a number of pulls and clones.
