I took one look at the Pebble's controls and thought it would be perfect for a scrolling shooter.
My goal was to use as much of the Pebble's hardware as possible. e.g. blink the backlight on sustaining damage, vibrating upon death, and most important of all, shaking to do a barrel roll.
In about 15 hours, the following features were accomplished:
- Animated asteroids that drift to the bottom of the screen
- Game over screen with vibration on collision with an asteroid
- Space ship that can fire no more than one round in the screen at a time
