Inspiration

Building upon the theme of community, our group sought to find a way to support a vulnerable group in our society - the homeless.

What it does

The app provides map and step-by-step directions to locations that provide free, public bathrooms. There is also information for how to locate nearby hygiene items and discounted food, displaying the various prices. Lastly, there is an option for philanthropists to donate money to various charities related to the cause.

How we built it

This application was prototyped using Figma, and the presentation was put together using Canva.

Challenges we ran into

We ran into some challenges making the user experience friendly and appealing.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Most of our group members had never used Figma before, and we are proud of the new skill we've learned!

What we learned

We learned valuable statistics about those experiencing homelessness in New York City, as well as more about charities that provide resources.
