Inspiration

We wanted to learn and mess around with AR solutions for a Smart society.

What it does

Takes information about a parking zone, calculates with AI the best path to the nearest parking, then translates it into an AR view for you or your car, whichever wishes to do the parking!

How I built it

Used A* for pathfinding and FastAPI for relaying information. We also developed 2 different apps, one to serve as a monitor for information and one to serve as the AR portal for the driver/car.

Challenges I ran into

Lack of experience with AR beforehand, so exposure to brand new concepts has been tough on us for 24 hours.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

We have seen success in developing our path and projecting it in an AR for our users!

What I learned

We have each learned about react native, AI, and the Viro AR framework.

What's next for SmARt park

Localization, using sensors and logic to determine positioning rather than reliance on an outside monitor. Also a user system with nicer functionalities added in.
