Inspiration
Recently, one of group member's parent have been trying to look for newer housing under a fair price, but they had noticed that many of the listings are always gone or the house sold for less than they offered to pay. This showed us that real estate ownership process would need better security to make it more fair.
What it does
It is a decentralized application, where each user can be authenticated and tracked throughout the whole process of purchasing
How we built it
The app was built on the Blockstack API, React, HTML,CSS, and JavaScript.
Challenges we ran into
Due to most of us being second year engineers and our first hackathon, we did not know how to use React. We spent majority of our time learning how to use it for our app.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We were able to come up with a sound idea and build an app to display the use case.
What we learned
It is an asset to learn more web based languages, such as React, HTML and CSS.
What's next for Safe Estate
We hope to expand into equity financing property which would allow us to reinvest the user's asset, so that the company has another revenue stream.
