Inspiration

Participate as a team in the challenge to exceed our capabilities and learn more about the Automation Anywhere tool and about RPA.

What it does

Vacation Request is a process which allows you to search for packages, flights or hotels on the Kayak and Booking pages, filtering the information and displaying it in an AARI form. To perform this filter there are two options: Business or Personal For the "Business" option, it allows you to create a vacation request, sending an email with the corresponding information (employee name, days available and vacation dates) to the leader, who decides whether to approve or reject the request, if it is rejected. the process comes to an end, otherwise a form will open for the person to choose what to search for, a bot oversees making these filters on the pages and displaying them in the AARI form, allowing this information to be sent by mail, open Excel or end the process. For the "Person" option, the process begins with the registration of the person's data and the selection of what to search for (Flight, packages or accommodations), carrying out the same steps as in the previous option (filters and displaying data in the form).

How we built it

Through the AARI forms we record the information necessary to manage the requests such as the applicant's data, data for filters on the pages where the flights are searched and to show information to AARI users (Applicant and the leader), for the availability queries in the "Business" option, the associated data is consulted in a database and reusable Bots were built for repetitive tasks such as sending notifications by mail and Bots for specific and repetitive tasks such as consulting in specific pages, queries and insertion in the database, data transformation among others.

Challenges we ran into

We faced many challenges, but one of them and the most complicated was with the recorder and the dynamic selectors.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of the entire process, because each part of its construction presented us with certain challenges, among our greatest achievements we highlight:

1. Connect people of different positions and roles.
2. Capture the correct information from the different pages and interact with the different users of a process.
3. Facilitate and expedite the process with the response by email

What we learned

The development of this process left us many learnings, one of them was the management of dynamic selectors on the platform, the capabilities that AARI offers us.

What's next for Project Team Sophos

As a team we will continue to discover the processes to automate in our company, we will strengthen our capacities and skills with the Automation Anywhere platform.
