Lovecraft novels and novels inspired by love crafts work along with underrated choose your own adventure works.
What it does
It runs through a prompted story and allows the player to make decisions that develop the story further, create unique pathways, and gives the player individual endings.
How we built it
Through eclipse, the player reads through printed dialogue, and depending on their chosen response, a method is ran for every pathway that returns a number to assign the next path, and the cycle repeats itself until the player reaches the end of the game.
Challenges we ran into
Trying to figure out incorporating stats and graphics/ animations to make the game more complete at a later date, and eventually able to play through a website, where other, possibly similar, games can be accessed as well.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We worked together to make a system that would keep track of the different story lines and run through each method by a repeated loop at the start, running different methods depending on the number of their pathway, which changes with each method
What we learned
How to edit a website, importing graphic images, and making use of thread.sleep
What's next for Project Sanity (Chose your own Adventure Game)
Creating new pathways, implementing graphics to better tell the stories, and making the game overall more visually appealing and inviting for potential players.
