Inspiration

We want to have some fun and find out what we could get out of Computer Vision API from Microsoft.

What it does

This is a web application that allows the user to upload an image, generates an intelligent poem from it and reads the poem out load with different chosen voices.

How we built it

We used Python interface of Cognitive Service API from Microsoft and built a web application with django. We used a public open source tone generator to play different tones reading the poem to the users.

Challenges we ran into

We learned django from scratch. It's not very easy to use. But we eventually made all the components connect together using Python.

It's difficult to combine different components together.

What's next for PIIC - Poetic and Intelligent Image Caption

We plan to make an independent project with different technology than Cognitive Services and published to the world.
