Inspiration We were inspired by the idea that every tool carries something from its creator. With PIANO, we wanted to explore how memory, rhythm, and emotion can flow between humans and the machines they shape.

What it does PIANO is a short visual poem that blends AI-generated imagery, motion, and sound to express the emotional rhythm shared between humans and their tools.

How we built it We used: Midjourney for visual frames and mood, Kling for motion and cinematic transitions, Seedream for texture and refinement, plus a rhythmic editing workflow to unify everything.

Challenges we ran into Keeping visual consistency across different AI tools Maintaining a human emotional thread in fully synthetic scenes Ensuring motion felt poetic, not mechanical Blending transitions without breaking the rhythm

Accomplishments that we're proud of Being selected at Australia’s first AI film festival (Disrupt AI Film Festival) with PIANO Creating a cohesive emotional narrative using multiple AI systems Building a film where human intention is clearly felt despite synthetic imagery Achieving a distinct visual and rhythmic signature for the project

What we learned We learned how AI tools respond best when guided with strong creative direction, and how rhythm—both visual and emotional—can act as a bridge between human intuition and machine output.

What's next for PIANO We plan to expand the concept into a larger series exploring human–tool relationships, experiment with voice-driven rhythm, and refine our workflow to push emotional storytelling further.
