Finding nearby parks and whether they are crowded is hard. Therefore, we came up with ParkFinder to help with that.
What it does
ParkFinder suggests nearby parks and displays more details, such as crowd levels, address and a short description.
How we built it
We used Swift to build the app, and used Radar.io to display nearby parks.
Challenges we ran into
We couldn't get the Google Places API as we do not have a credit card.
What we learned
We learned that Radar.io is a really effective tool for geofencing and more.
What's next for ParkFinder
- Real data using the Google Places API
- A tableview to show nearby parks
- Android support
