Inspiration

"Our Tree" is, first and foremost, a visual poem I created independently, dedicated to my wife. The story's inspiration came from a short story generated by Claude. The core theme is: "In an age when everyone is creating gods, they just want to let a tree be a tree."

What it does

This project tells a story about how "love" can kill a tree: an ordinary sycamore tree accidentally becomes a "god" on social media (lit. "Friends' Moments"). People flock to it, making offerings and live-streaming their visits, until the tree eventually dies. At the same time, it is also a story about two people who decide to plant a new tree.

How we built it

I used multiple AI tools throughout the entire creation process, including Midjourney, Jimeng/Kling, and Hailuo.

My biggest accomplishment is completing this entire project independently in just 3 days as a solo creator. It successfully realized my initial concept and became a unique visual poem for my wife.

What we learned

This experience left me truly surprised by the efficiency of AI tools. I learned how AI technology is making it possible for individual creators to complete entire works on their own.
