“Nagori” means “the traces that linger” — and that idea guided every frame of this film. I wanted to explore how love, memory, and regret leave marks that time can’t erase, and how beauty can exist even in absence.

The film was created entirely with GenAI inside Adobe Firefly. My goal was to use these new tools not for spectacle, but for emotion — to capture the quiet, flowing expressiveness of Japanese ink painting and turn it into cinematic movement.

I approached Nagori as a piece of animated poetry: simple, reflective, and human.
