The plan was to create a media player in VR, and provide a way for users to manage and stream music, and provide visual effects to accompany the music.
What it does
We were able to display blocks around the user that pulse to the beat of the music.
How we built it
We split up into two main sub teams. The first team was in charge of playing music in Unity and creating the visual effects. The other team was in charge of integrating leap motion and creating a menu for the user.
Challenges we ran into
-Learning how to use Unity for the first time -Dealing with the different coordinate systems in unity -Attempting to find a way to stream in music -Displaying menu buttons when palm is facing up -Calibration is extremely difficult for leap motion
Accomplishments that we're proud of
-Program can recognize when palm of left hand is facing up. This was intended to be used to display a pop up menu. -Created a visualizer that displays patterns according to the song
What we learned
-Oculus is still fairly new and difficult to interface with. -Lots of glitches and buggy features

-Using something other than unity in order to support music streaming -Experience Live music concerts
