Inspiration
Given that COVID-19 has greatly affected the mental well-being of students, we wanted to make a website where it is easy to find resources provided by CSULB and the Long Beach community.
What it does
With this website, the user can complete a self-care assessment which can help a student reflect on their own status of mental well-being. This website also consists of different pages that have resources listed that are provided from within and outside of CSULB.
How we built it
We mainly used HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and JavaScript to build our website.
Challenges we ran into
Collectively our team does not have much experience with front-end development therefore we struggled with formatting, using HTML and JavaScript to interact with each other, and figuring out how to host our website.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
With minimal experience, we are proud of producing a fully functional website in such a short amount of time.
What we learned
We learned how to use Bootstrap to our advantage to design our idea. We also learned about some differences between front-end and back-end and what they each bring to the table.
What's next for Mental Health Check-In Website
In the future, we can implement a user login system so that the users can have a personalized experience to set up appointments or track their progress over time.
