Inspiration

There isn't anything quite like espn box scores for league. We're hoping to provide a live feed of everyone's favorite league games so you won't be missing out when you can't follow a stream.

What it does

Users can create games they want to "cast" to people by updating stats as they watch the game. You can share game keys with people to increase throughput in updating the game info. People can view and follow League of Legends games live with a easy to understand interface, familiar to every league fan recording the actions performed by each summoner in the game and the overall team statistics. A simple prediction algorithm was used to find the probability of a team winning at an given time.

How we built it

AngularJS, NodeJS, Express and mongoDB were used to create the application from scratch.

Challenges we ran into

Not having access to live game data from riot. Figuring out a simple way to share admin access of games with other people. Designing structures to fit the role of the interface and data that needed to be calculated.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Easy to use interface for editors and some predictive features for the average user.

What we learned

Decide on an idea quickly, find out if there are pitfalls with the idea, make the most of the time you have and have fun while it lasts.

What's next for League of Legends Boxscores

Adding more powerful predictive tools to more accurately predict the winner of a game.
