Inspiration

After seeing the challenges, they seemed a little out of scope, especially something that we can do in such limited time between 2 people.

What it does

Personally assistant that would be able to do a myriad of things, such as control your spotify, tell you the weather, get updates on your online orders and so on.

As of right now though, it doesn't even run.

How we built it

We utilized dialogflow API on google cloud.

Challenges we ran into

A lot, mainly lack of exposure to webhooks and API. Could not get the fulfillment down on dialogflow api.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Despite our barebones project, perhaps even just bones, I'm really proud of us for even attempting the hackathon and exposing ourselves to experience besides writing a simple school assignment in c++.

What's next for kirbyAI

As crazy as it may sounds, our team thoroughly enjoyed all the struggling we went through only to finish with a product that doesn't even function. The next step for our team is to learn webhooks and REST API's so we can actually get the dream friend thats a kirby reference by the way we wish to make. After we get all these basics going, it's time to learn how to do app development to follow through on our mockups.

Additionally, I'd love to figure out how to get this uploaded to an arduino or raspberry pi with a display so I can have a personal assistant in my room.
