Inspiration
“In My Life” started from a simple feeling — that moment when emotion lingers longer than the memory itself. I wanted to translate that quiet nostalgia into a visual story. No big plot, no heavy effects… just mood, light, and the space between thoughts. This project is about holding on to a feeling before it fades.
What it does
It’s a 3-minute AI-driven music video that blends cinematic visuals with a calm, intimate atmosphere. The goal is to make the viewer stop scrolling for a moment and just feel something — a soft emotional spark, a memory, a breath.
How we built it
Visuals generated using OpenArt (Seedream / Nano Banana) for consistency Character design and identity rooted in the Judy Yuen persona Lip-sync and subtle performance moments with Runway Act-Two and Openart Motion Music produced using Suno, arranged and mixed manually Lyrics and melody is written by us. Editing & final assembly done in Davinci resolve. Color, pacing, and transitions tuned for emotional flow — not just aesthetics The entire pipeline was designed to feel handcrafted, despite being AI-powered.
Challenges we ran into
Keeping a consistent character look across different AI models Getting the emotional tone right without losing realism Managing pacing in a music video where every frame sets the mood Balancing color grading between AI-generated frames and edited sequences Rendering time, model mismatches, and occasional visual drift AI doesn’t always “feel” emotions — so shaping that mood took the most time. Accomplishments that we're proud of in 3 weeks. Building a full cinematic music video from scratch as a solo creator Maintaining the same character (Judy Yuen) across all shots Achieving a soft, emotional tone that feels human, not algorithmic Completing the entire 3:25 piece with a cohesive aesthetic and story
What we learned
Emotional tone matters more than technical perfection Consistency in AI art requires experimentation, patience, and iteration Combining multiple AI tools creates stronger results than relying on one Storytelling can be simple — one feeling, one moment, one journey
What's next for In My Life
This project is part of a bigger vision: building a full AI-driven artist universe around Judy Yuen. Next steps include: More music videos Cross-platform storytelling (IG, TikTok, YouTube) Developing a stronger visual identity for the character Exploring short narrative scenes and live-performance-style AI footage
“In My Life” is only the beginning.
