Inspiration

We were inspired to create hubSFU by the desire to enhance the university experience for students like ourselves. We wanted to build a comprehensive application that brings together the community and provides easy access to university services, fostering engagement and simplifying access to resources.

What it does

With hubSFU, we have developed an all-in-one university application that serves as a centralized hub for students, faculty, and staff. It enables seamless connectivity, personalized community engagement, and convenient access to essential university services and information. How we built it

Building hubSFU was a collaborative effort that involved a combination of multiple tools and technologies. We utilized Android Studio to develop the mobile application, ensuring a user-friendly and intuitive interface. With the help of Figma, we designed and refined the app's visual elements, creating a modern and cohesive user experience. Additionally, we integrated DialogueFlow and ChatGPT to provide intelligent chatbot capabilities, allowing users to seek information and receive assistance seamlessly. Leveraging various APIs, we integrated live transit updates, and other essential features to make hubSFU a comprehensive and versatile platform.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are incredibly proud of the achievements we have made with hubSFU. Developing a feature-rich application that successfully integrates various services and provides a seamless user experience was a significant accomplishment. Our team's dedication and collaborative spirit enabled us to overcome challenges and deliver a solution that truly enhances the university journey.
