Inspiration
We got inspired on the saga WarioWare, and the IThinkUPC challenge which suggested to make a fast web game.
What it does
Our multiplayer game consists in local matches where you play random minigames against your partner. Currently it has 4 original minigames but it is easily expandable.
How we built it
We have built our game using the UnityEngine and later exporting it in WebGL format and hosting the game on itch.io. The art is made by ourselves using pixelart tools.
Challenges we ran into
Although it was not our first Unity project, this was both our first Hackathon and our first mobile multiplayer game. We struggled with the multiplayer aspect of it, with working long hours and with the mobile controls. However, in the end we overcomed our challenges and we have learned a lot in the making of this project.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of the looks of the game, specially taking into account we made it in so little time, and we are also proud of having a web playable mobile game of our own.
What we learned
We have learned that web games can be done using the Unity Engine, and also how to make mobile controls for games.
What's next for HackMiniGames
We probably will expand this project with more minigames, as we have prepared the project to easily create and add new ideas.
