Inspiration

The main character idea actually comes from myself, because my normal or blank face looks sad. People often think I’m sad, but I’m not. It’s just how my face normally looks.

What it does

The purpose of this is to make people laugh.

How we built it

First, I create the script. I try different scenarios, dialogues, and themes. Then I use Midjourney to create visuals, Luma AI and Veo 3 to bring the images to life, and Veo 3 and ElevenLabs for the voice-over and lip sync. Finally, to make it feel completely alive, I add sound effects and music from ElevenLabs.

Challenges we ran into

Making an AI comedy film is really hard because not everyone has the same standards for what’s funny and what’s not. It’s difficult to bring the script to life in a funny way. Writing the script was the most challenging part for me as a first-timer making an AI comedy film. I created multiple scripts and tried different dialogues. I did everything alone with the help of AI, so I’m not even sure if it’s funny. I just based it on my own preference.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

This is my first time, and for me it has been a great experience. I’m proud that I was able to complete this AI comedy film.

What we learned

While making this film, I learned that it’s really hard to make viewers smile or laugh.
