Inspiration
Fractals are cool but complicated shapes. Both of us were interested in the topic, so we wanted to learn more, and made a website to share what we have learned.
What it does
Our website teaches you about fractals and includes some interactive widgets.
How we built it
We used the website repl.it in order to write in HTML and CSS. The Widgets were written by Vivian, inspired by pseudocode found online.
Challenges we ran into
Once we decided to embed the Widgets, it took some time to figure out how to do so. Our original plan was to embed raw python files, but this did not work out and we had to figure out a way to make it work that involved embedding it as a separate repl.it file.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of our theme and the overall aesthetic of the website. Fractals are an intriguing topic and we are proud to share more knowledge about them.
What we learned
We learned about fractals ourselves from doing research for each of our sections.
What's next for Fractals
With more time, we could add more types of fractals, add Widgets for the types already discussed, or go more in depth about fractals as a concept.
