Rural Dev Track - "How do we raise awareness and accelerate development in developing parts of Indonesia?"

What it does

Introducing Farmtizen! Farmtizen is an application for farmers and those who want to learn and maximize their potential in crop management throughout Indonesia. By using Farmtizen, users can explore thousand of tutorial videos and articles, join agricultural communities from various places, join classes, and rent modern agriculture tools.

How we built it

We brainstormed our condition that a lot of farmers in Indonesia still use a traditional method that is taught from generation to generation. Based on that method, the farmers still have no idea about the technology that exists in farming. So, because of that reason, we build an app that can teach the farmer how to be more efficient and newer methods to farm.

Challenges we ran into

The challenge that we have is in the brainstorming process. We have quite a while to do the brainstorming and also we have a problem doing the research because it is hard to find farmer-specific data for certain towns in Indonesia.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are very proud that we can finish this project in a short amount of time.

What we learned

We learn a lot of new things from doing the research for this project and makes our desire to do this project even clearer because the facts on the ground are in line with what we think.
