Ensure Healthcare Mobile App

Ensure seeks to connect uninsured communities and non-native speakers to medical resources through a mobile app that provides clinic services offered within Texas counties.

Among states, Texas ranked second in its number of persons recently uninsured (659,000) in need of healthcare. Uninsured rate of those without health insurance coverage in Texas is 18.4%. About 7.9% of the entire Texas population speaks English “not well” or “not at all” (about two million people) which will create communication barriers. It is important that everyone should have the right to access healthcare. With the Ensure App, we will connect these communities to free clinics and community health care centers which would provide the hours/dates of operation, the demographic profile of patients, internal/external services offered within Texas counties.
