Inspiration
We wanted to help consumers shave cents off their energy bills and reduce their carbon footprint.
What it does
Our web app allows consumers to log in and input their bill data either by uploading it or manually adding entries. The data is then stored on Firebase in a secure manner so users can only access their own data.
How we built it
We built it using Angular, Firebase and Google's Material Design specifications.
Challenges we ran into
We found it difficult to get Google Assist to work at times, but we manage to minimize the amount of bugs.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're proud to have a working demo that actually works!
What we learned
We learned a lot about the frameworks we used and how to work as a team.
What's next for Energy Helper
We plan to add more features, such as reading bill data using OCR and graphing the data so consumes can see their efforts on our app.
