Inspiration

We wanted to make a website that would help us educate on environmental and health issues.

EcoTrak is a website that computes carbon footprint, calories burned, and produces a detailed map on climate change.

We used HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Python Flask, arcGIS API

How to create a localhost using IIS

Learning how to implement JavaScript with an HTML5 file. Finishing the website. Working consistently, Displaying great teamwork and leadership.

How to implement APIs in a website. How to create a website. How to work in a collaborative environment.

Adding more applications. Making it more attractive. Create mobile versions for it.

I worked on mostly the backend of the website. I used Python Flask to create the localhost and helped implement the ArcGIS API in our website. This was my first hackathon and first experience with web development.

Rishi Dutta
I mainly worked on the client side to make the whole experience intuitive. I was responsible for designing the main page and implementating the climate change map.

Faraz Cherukattil
I worked with my team and helped them go through ideas. I also had previous experience in HTML5 that helped in connecting all the codes in an attractive interface. I also was able to gather a lot of information online that was crucial to the project.

Yashodhan Kulkarni
I contributed to creation of the localhost and url link from which we viewed our webpage. Also contributed to the import of the ArcGIS API to include a map to our website.
