Inspiration

Feeling depression during these days, always need something to heal myself or people like me. So, it's important to stay in touch with your family, friends. And CUTE CAT GIF!

What it does

It has group chat feature to stay in touch with your family and friends. And also an infinite amount of cute cat gif! It's adorable and healing!! You are able to send the cute gif to chat by simply one button without saving it first. Share the cute gif with your families/friends. Chat with them, ask how have they been. Keep in touch with people!

How I built it

By use Android Studio IDE, Flutter as the app's framework. Using Firebase API to implement my chat feature, as my cloud storage. API request to the thacatapi website, to fetch infinite cat gif and convert the format into cloud storage. Go through tons of Firebase docs to help me setting up the chat feature. The logo image original from 'Alex Litovka' in dribbble.

Challenges I ran into

It's hard to go through tons of docs of Firebase as well as Flutter docs. Lots of debugging needs to be done during the project.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Successfully building this app and having the features I come up with at the first place.

What I learned

Docs are actually very useful. Firebase is very hard to implement.

What's next for CuteeGifChat

Perhaps, adding the feature of getting other users' locations. You can monitor your families, keep track of their location.
