Inspiration

Based on misinformation that has been proliferating throughout social media during the pandemic. We wanted to mitigate the dangers associated with its spread.

What it does

User can submit a screenshot of an article they want to audit for validity, and the website can pull articles from reputable sources that directly support or provide evidence against the content of the screenshot.

How we built it

HTML, CSS, Python data analysis, and elbow grease.

Challenges we ran into

Figuring out how to work flask and python.

More skills in flask, and little more with python.

What's next for COVID 19 Fact Tracker

Fully implementing the database with the website and having a separate page for debunking common misinformation
