We were inspired the idea of helping seniors, and decided to branch out

CommunityConnect allows people to interact with their community by having volunteering opportunities available for our users
How I built it
It was build in Go with the GoBuffalo framework
Challenges I ran into
A challenge we ran into was the lack of functionality between heroku and the GoBuffalo framework, leading us to ditch heroku and use something else instead
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
The logo is incredible. Ducks symbolize inner growth and water symbolizes the development of community, making our logo very appropriate for our app's intended goal.
What I learned
We learned how to use bootstrap, regex, HTML templating, and other epic stuff
What's next for CommunityConnect
- Increase the security of our app to protect our users
- Make a "reputation" system
