Inspiration
While convening yesterday with my teammates on what project to do, we found ourselves sharing our mutual love, or rather intense fervor, for coffee. Moreover, we began to discuss the way society has impacted our desire for certain materials and influenced our inclination to accept behaviors that might not necessarily be beneficial to our growth.
What it does
Coffee Quest is a role-player game in which the main character has to collect the Seven Great Artifacts of Coffee in order to save Coffeelandia. At the end of the game, the player is asked to decide whether to pursue his or her love for coffee and doom the kingdom or give up the evil coffee in favor of tea.
How I built it
We built the game using Notepad++ as an editor. We also used HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, ProcessingJS, Dreamweaver, Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop to design, code, and implement our project.
Challenges I ran into
Previously, we found some difficulties with establishing a barrier for the character to not simply walk through levels. However, we put our heads together and found a solution.
Through Coffee Quest, our team has grown even more united and will continue to find new creative ways to impact our society.
