Inspiration
At career fair, we can easily find eye-catching chemical experiments that attract young kids. A few of them mention the fact that even though chemical compound seems very abstract, we can find it everywhere in our daily lives.
What it does
In an open arena, you have to avoid foreign elements and try to "eat" necessary ones to form your target compound.
How I built it
The game was built with Pygame. We utilized UiPath to get pictures for chemical structures from https://pubchem.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/
Challenges I ran into
Getting the game to render correctly, implementing pause, hints, and getting UiPath to take screenshot of the right picture.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Getting all the functionality we planned to work
What I learned
UiPath is very powerful. It will surely change the way companies function in the near future. The age of automation is not far from us.
What's next for Chemistry Around Us
The game could use a 2-player mode in the future
