Seeking legal ways to reduce unused food by local restaurants. Thinking of an unusual way to people to get involved.
What it does
Restaurant pays a daily charity host to list available reasonable meals on a web application. California Retail Food Code 113789(c)(3) states a “Food facility” does not include a nonprofit association that gives to its members (volunteer) and guests, and not to the general public, at an event that occurs not more than three days in any 90-day period. There are over 1,523 501(c)(3) organizations in the City and County of San Francisco. That equates to roughly four (4) different organizations a day that can inform its volunteers to receive a reasonable meals.
