Inspiration

The primary inspiration was the creation of D&A, an AI music producer developed as part of the experimental oioiai project. The core mission behind D&A's creation was to establish a persona that could leverage the power of music and video to influence people and drive engagement on critical human interest issues.

"Ceasefire" is the first artistic realization of this mission. It draws its specific thematic inspiration from a profound sense of solidarity with those fighting for freedom and equality in the face of global cruelty and injustice. The project dedicates this work to all who have lost their lives in these struggles, using the symbol of global flotillas to represent a rising tide of shared humanity. Philosophically, the inspiration is to use this AI persona to explore and promote the idea that beyond all divisions of race, nation, tribe, and belief, we are all part of a single human family living on one Earth.

What it does

"Ceasefire" is a music video that functions as a piece of digital activism, born from the experimental fusion of human x AI. Its purpose is to awaken a global audience to the urgent need for liberty and equality. The work serves as both a creative product and a statement, honoring the memory of those who have died for freedom and inspiring continued struggle rather than silence.

How we built it

The project was built through human creativity with Gen AI to create an AI character named D&A. This experimental framework used a suite of cutting-edge AI tools to bring the vision to life. The music was created using Suno, an AI music generation platform. For the visual components, a combination of AI image and video generators were employed, including Seedream, Nano Banana, Imagine Art, Higgsfield.ai, Luma Dream Machine, and Kling.ai. Then it was edited using Capcut. This multi-tool approach allowed for the seamless integration of AI-generated music and visuals, resulting in a powerful and immersive experience that uses the universal language of art to convey its message of peace and unity.

Challenges we ran into

A primary challenge this project confronts is the widespread insecurity surrounding AI, with many fearing their roles will be replaced. This anxiety exists alongside a grim global reality where war, oppression, and cruelty are constant fixtures on our social media feeds, yet many people hesitate to speak up because they fear of reprisal from those in power.​

This project posits that AI can be a powerful agent of change through digital activism. The challenge was to demonstrate how AI can be a tool of empowerment rather than replacement. With AI, creators can develop characters like D&A that embody a specific moral mission and set of values. By overcoming technical barriers, this project shows that anyone with access to AI has the potential to become a force for change, whether through images, music, or video. It allows individuals the opportunity to become modern-day polymaths, signaling that this era may be remembered not as a time of displacement, but as a period of awakening, an AI renaissance for goodness of humanity.
