Canvas Buddy

Inspiration

We wanted to work with something really cool and test out the capabilities of alexa.

What it does

This connects to canvas and gets all the information about the classes and assignments from the website, parses the information, and answers any questions you may have about your assignment or classes.

How we built it

We found a resting Canvas API and used it to gather information from the website

Challenges we ran into

Getting the Python Lambda function to work from the debugging

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were able to connect to Canvas and retrieve the information without too much trouble.

What we learned

We learned how to create skills and work with APIs

What's next for Canvas Invocator

Expanding it to include grades and GPAs
