Inspiration:

We got inspired from the fact that the women are still facing domestic violence due to lack of on demand help provided. Hence, we decided to build an application that quickly connects the woman to her caretakers.

What it does:

The BRUV application provides the facility of icon with buzzer feature. As soon as the buzzer is long pressed, the application will notify the parents, peers and brothers. The contact information of the caretakers can be selected as per the choice(mandatory*) The snooze timing option if kept, say 5 min. will notify the caretakers every interval of 5m min. Along with notification the live location will also be provided every time interval. "It also has the feature to inform the most nearby police station ."

How we built it:

We utilised the Figma application builder for the UI/UX design for BRUV application "and also used android studio."

Challenges we ran into:

For making the BRUV application, the idea of providing the facility of buzzer option on the icon was challenging. Finding the involvement of all the team members was also a challenge as many of members had ongoing mid-term exams "and having the team coordinated was difficult."

Accomplishments that we're proud of:

The BRUV application idea of having the buzzer icon is the most unique feature that can be presented in the app. "Also all the team members still managed to give their best for the project."

What we learned:

We learned that the problems can be solved effectively with the help of technology in many ways. We learned using the android studio for application building.

What's next for BRUV: In future:

*We r planing to add some more feature like global chat where all women or girl irrespective of age can post there past incident or real story related to this topic.There name will not be shown due to privacy & security factor instead it will be anonymous.The purpose will be to make this app more engaging & they can also learn a lot of thing from real story. *We r also working on feature in which women don't have to press icon in emergency situation instead she can alert or notify by just pressing volume button of mobile or even by giving voice command.
