Simple information transfer
What it does
Provides users with basic info on celebrities by web scraping instagram and other websites
How we built it
● Utilized Swift to parse HTML content (through SwiftSoup) in order to access needed data and information
● Used web scraping to bypass the need for instagram’s API
● implemented Xcode to create a clean and concise UI for iOS devices
Challenges we ran into
Figuring out how to scrape the correct information from the webpages as well as learning how to use all of the iOS developer tools in Xcode and the syntax of swift.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Finishing our first Hackathon and submitting a fully functioning iOS app built in 3 days.
What we learned
How to use Swift, parse HTML content, use Xcode and various other iOS developer tools
