Inspiration
We were inspired by the social issue of gender wage gaps and developed this website as a means of spreading awareness for it.
What it does
We created a website that implements HTML/CSS/JavaScript, we also wanted to include a chart(using graphjs) to have something interactive for the user to see. Our website educates the view on the gender pay gap and how to help.
How we built it
We used Repl.it where we all collaborated on creating one whole website.
Challenges we ran into
We had challenges with formatting and choosing either flexbox or grid formatting. Playing around with the code helped us solve the layout issues we faced.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of our research and interactive graph that we created and also how we managed to communicate so well even online.
What we learned
We learned more about JavaScript, CSS, and how to implement interactive things into our website.
What's next for GenderCAP
We hope to later include material like dynamic scrolling, touch base on how it overlaps with other major social problems, and include functionality where people are able to communicate within our website.
