Our idea was originally inspired by 'angel shots' being offered at bars. Ordering an 'angel shot' usually indicated to the bartender that you were in trouble or in need of assistance, whether that be a taxi or police.
We wanted to bring this type of assistance into everyone's home, allowing them to discreetly send a message out without alarming anyone else in the room. Atexta could also be taught to children or elderly for emergency situations as well.
We built Atexta to be useful for everyday situations too! A user can send pre-defined or custom messages to their groups. Maybe you are cooking and need your roommate to pick up some milk or you're running late to a meeting and are running out the door. Messages can be sent in an instant, hands-free, allowing you to focus on what needs to be done.
