This is a compelling game with a significant learning curve, strategy and features to be discovered.
This game was built, using Rosebud's AI coding assistant "Rosie." Images were generated with Leonardo. Music was composed with Suno.
Everything was done by one developer, using an Android phone. It is a MOBILE GAME. All of the 'desktop' functionality was coded 'blind' by relying on intuition and the expertise of the Rosebud AI code assistant.
I'm proud to have overcome significant and frustrating challenges, while leaning into the limitations of developing a high-functioning game, using only a mobile phone. All of the enemy dialog was recorded by myself with no post-processing simply by speaking into my phone's microphone.
I learned a lot about proper work flow, project organization and game physics.
Asteroid Miner has room to grow, with a potential for multi-player functionality and an improved story line.
